Pruning:
Each spring, thin out dense branches to allow light and air to circulate. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Avoid heavy pruning all at once — older olive trees respond best to gradual shaping.
Watering:
Olives prefer deep, infrequent watering. Mature trees are drought-tolerant, but during very dry summers, occasional long soaks will help keep them healthy.
Feeding:
In spring, enrich the soil with compost or well-rotted manure around the base. For fruit production, a balanced fertilizer (NPK) can provide additional nutrients.
